It is often not possible for a physician to administer medications that are effective at the lowest dosages with a customary needle. With syringe pumps, these highly effective drugs can, however, be administered through the vein for longer periods of time. The smallest amounts can be exactly dosed this way.

Fresenius Kabi’s infusion devices are also used to introduce infusion solutions. Syringe pumps precisely administer small quantities (0.1 to 200 milliliters per hour) while volumetric infusion pumps are used to deliver larger quantities (1 to 1,500 milliliters per hour).
